How much of your inbox actually needs you?
A prompt by Greg Rosner. Use it with an AI that already has permission to read your inbox. It asks for an audit without changing anything.
Audit my inbox for the last 7 days. Read-only: don't archive, delete, or mark anything. Sort every email into three buckets: 1. NEEDED ME: my personal decision, a reply only I could write, money moving, or a real sales lead. 2. FYI: receipts, confirmations, newsletters, notifications. An assistant could have handled it. 3. NOISE: promos, marketing blasts, cold pitches, automated junk. Report: total emails, count and percentage per bucket, the full NEEDED ME list with one line on why each, and examples of the NOISE. Be blunt. I want the real number, not comfort. Last question: what does your NEEDED ME list say about where your judgment actually matters?Download .txt
Then ask the harder question.
What does the list of emails that needed you say about where your judgment actually matters?
